10 Things to Know About Wet N Joy, Lonavala (Watch before your trip to Wet N Joy)

Are you planning a trip to Wet N Joy? Today I am going to share with you 10 things that you need to know before your trip. So let’s splash ahead.

1. Location – Wet N Joy is located in Lonavala. It is right opposite to Sunny da Dhaba in Lonavala. It took us around 3.5 hours to reach from Mumbai.

2. Cost – Wet N Joy has a water park and amusement park, which is also called Magic Mountain. Ticket cost is Rs 1299 on weekdays and Rs 1499 on weekends. You can try getting a discount. We got a buy one get one free offer as we went on a Monday. Our ticket only included the water park. But in the ads, they say that both the water park and amusement park are included. So please check the inclusions in your ticket before you buy them. Our ticket also included buffet lunch and tea.

3. Timings – Wet N Joy is open on all days. Water park timings are 9 am to 6 pm. Amusement park opens from 2 pm to 8 pm. So, we can start with the water park, have lunch, then proceed towards the amusement park in the late afternoon, if the amusement park is included in your ticket.

4. Food Restrictions – No food or drinks can be brought inside the park premise. You are allowed to carry water but food is not allowed at all. They ask you to deposit your food in a charity box. Best is you don’t bring food or keep it outside or keep it on your vehicle if you have one.

5. Restaurants – There are many restaurants in both the water and amusement park. They serve only vegetarian food. The Italian restaurant in the water park Italia is amazing. We had pav bhaji at Ocean Retreat which was very good. Our ticket had a complimentary lunch at Fiesta Hall in the water park. Lunch was ok, not very tasty, but good. Jain food is also available.

6. Shopping – There are shops located inside the park selling exclusive Wet N Joy merchandise. You can buy towels, clothes, toys, chocolates, whatever you want at reasonable rates.

7. Locker Rent – Since you will go into the pool, it makes sense to deposit your valuables, watch, mobile, purse etc. in a locker. There are plenty of lockers available on rent at Wet N Joy. Locker Rent is Rs 300. We could fit 2 backpacks inside the locker.

8. Clothing – Only nylon and lycra clothing is allowed on all slides and attractions in the water park. Swimwear is available for purchase at the stores. You may buy a cover for your mobile to keep it safe in the water. There are no clothing restrictions for the amusement park.

9. Queue – The difficult rides in the water park have long queues. One of my friends waited for around 90 mins to get into a ride. Because there was a one on one free offer, the water park was very crowded. The amusement park was less crowded. So in 15 to 20 mins I could get my turn. But some rides in the amusement park like Z Force had a long queue for an hour or so.

10. Other Restrictions – Some rides are restricted for children below 4 feet. Also ticket is not required for children below that height. Although it is written on the website that cameras are not allowed, one of my colleagues brought a camera inside. Pets are strictly not allowed.

If I were to compare, Wet N Joy with Imagicaa, which is another amusement park in Khopoli, Imagicaa is better. According to me, Imagica has better crowd management, better food, and it is obviously more expensive. But Wet N Joy has more rides, more kids’ rides, and its fun!
