I recently went for a camping trip to Bhandardara, which is nestled in the beautiful Sahyadri hills and lakes, and clicked some cool landscape photos with my Nikon D5300. So let me show you my 10 best photos and also share with you my thought process behind each photo and which composition rule I applied for each. Let’s get started.
1. Foreground
The main composition rule I try to follow for landscapes is to have a strong foreground for my images. So most of my images will have a foreground, middleground and background to them as layers.

2. Reflections
Since we have a lake and beautiful light, we are bound to get beautiful reflections. Here I have a reflection along with a foreground.

3. Leading Lines
Leading lines direct the eye of the user in the image. They add a lot of depth and meaning to a photo.

4. Scale
I went with my friends and decided to let them go ahead, so I could capture shots of the landscape with them. Having a person in your landscape image, can help in giving a sense of scale to the images, meaning the viewer can kinda judge the size of the landscape relative to the human element.

5. Minimalism
Less is more, truly. Minimalism looks very simple, but can be a challenge to spot and photograph. I have tried to go minimal in my photography and hope you like these frames guys!

I hope you liked my blog. Do let me know your suggestions and thoughts in the comments section. Thank you!
