Apps are of great use when we are on the go! They bring to us the cheapest flights, the best hotels, the finest restaurants, or simply help us book a cab.
Here are 10 apps I always use while travelling.
I always prefer booking hotels and flights from MakeMyTrip. They offer the best deals and have a wide array of hotels.
If I don’t find what I want on MakeMyTrip, I go to Cleartrip. I use this app since they offer amazing offers for HSBC Credit Card holders. I got an instant cashback of Rs 3000 while booking a hotel in Goa.
Find the cheapest flights and best hotels on this award winning app. As the name goes, it scans the sky to find the best flight for you.
Just key in your PNR number and this app will give you complete information about your journey. It provides information about your train’s status, time table, seat layout and notifies you if your train is late. You can also search trains and book you ticket online.
5. Google Maps
I have no fear of getting lost as Google Maps is always there to help me. The best part is that you can even use it offline. Once you download an area, it will give you directions and help you navigate your way to it.
Zomato is the ultimate restaurant finder. Now-a-days, almost every restaurant is listed under Zomato. It is very useful in finding restaurants that match your budget.
This app gives you cashback on uploading your restaurant bill. Turn on your GPS, check-in to your restaurant and upload your bill while you are at the outlet and within 30 minutes of payment. After approval, you get crown points on the bill amount. You can use these points for mobile recharge, online shopping and so on.
I always plan my trips with the help of TripAdvisor. I go to TripAdvisor, have a look at the attractions I can visit and prepare my bucket list! It shows you the attractions, restaurants, hotels, and flights, in your city.
Calling for a taxi in another city can be a hell of a task sometimes. Uber makes hiring a cab easy for you. We can also pay via Debit/Credit Card or Paytm, which helps us save on cash.
10. Google Translate
Learning a new language is not a piece of cake. But with Google Translate, you don’t have to worry about that. With more than 100 languages, Google Translate allows you access a few words offline and listen to how words are pronounced.
