Alibaug is the ideal weekend getaway for Mumbaikars. It has beautiful beaches, forts, temples, restaurants, and what not! My recent trip to Alibaug was filled with fun, wanderlust, and laughter.

DAY 01
DAY 02
I would like to share my itinerary to Alibaug with you in this blog post.
Day 1
Ferry Ride
We took the ferry from Gateway of India, Mumbai at 9.15 am for Alibaug. It was damn crowded; it was a blessing we reached by 7.30 am and bought the tickets before 8 o’clock. While we were waiting, we could indulge in a hearty breakfast.
I always enjoy ferry rides as I can feel the beautiful sea breeze on my face, play with cute sea gulls and have fun conversations with my friends. We reached Mandwa Jetty at around 10.15 am. We had booked a car to pick us up from Mandwa. So instead of taking the usual bus from Mandwa to Alibaug, we went by car. This was convenient as the buses are a bit crowded.
Stay
We arrived at our hotel by 11.30 am. We were staying at Nisarg Guest House, which is near Maple Ivy Hotel. You get ample options for boarding and lodging at Alibaug.
Sightseeing begins!
After some rest and food at the hotel, we set off on our journey to explore the town. For lunch, we decided to go to Sanman – one of the most popular restaurants in Alibaug. The food was awesome!

Kashid Beach
After lunch, we drove off towards Kashid. Kashid Beach is amazing to chill and have a great time. It’s huge and attracts lesser crowd than the beaches at Alibaug. It is also very clean. They have horse-drawn carriages, camels, water sports and many fun activities at the beach.

Nagaon Beach
Then we proceeded to Nagaon and Alibaug beach. We visited Kolaba Fort, which is within Alibaug Beach.

Alibaug Beach
I found it is safe to travel at night in Alibaug. So we went exploring the city and returned to our hotel after dinner.
Day 2

Varsoli Beach
After having breakfast, we decided to cover Varsoli Beach. Varsoli Beach is also loaded with amazing water sports like parasailing, banana boat, jet skiing, and so on. It was a morning well-spent at the beach!

Parasailing at Alibaug Beach
Now, it was time to say goodbye! We bought our ferry tickets to go back home. Again we ditched the crowded bus and went by rickshaw.
My trip to Alibaug is really special and full of beaches, fun, sunshine, colours, and seagulls. I hope to make an excursion again with my friends! Thank you 🙂
