Travelling is addictive. The more you travel, the more you want to explore new places and try out new things. Travel takes you out of your comfort zone and makes you experience life in an all-new way.

Here are the top 10 destinations I really long to go to. I hope I can strike out at least one of them this year!

1. London

Being an ardent Harry Potter fan, London is on top of my list. Going for the WB Studio Tour in Leavesden will be like a pilgrimage to me. Other places of my interest include the Buckingham Palace, Big Ben, The Shard, London Eye, Madame Tussauds, and so on.

2. Paris

I have always been fantasised by the Eiffel Tower and Louvre. I would be a dream come true to stroll along the French boulevards, and shop my heart out in this glorious city.

3. New York

New Yok has it all – quirky shops, amazing restaurants, great monuemnts, huge parks, and round-the-clock bars. The Statue of Liberty is something I don’t want to miss.

4. Tokyo

It’s hardly a surprise that Tokyo is in my list. The capital of Japan is rampant with tall cityscapes, brilliant shops and luxury restaurants. Also it’s clean, green and safe for solo women travellers like me.

5. San Francisco

San Francisco is popular for its engulfing fog, Golden Gate Bridge, cable cars and crocked Victorian houses. I hope the Golden Gate of San Francisco opens for me soon. 🙂

6. Machu Picchu

This 15th century Incan citadel, set high in the Andes Mountains, has been recognised as one of the New Seven Wonders of the World. Trekking to this awe-inspiring ancient city has always been on my bucket list.

7. Sydney

Home to the iconic Sydney Opera House and Sydney Harbour, Sydney is easily the city of my dreams. I can also get my chance at meeting and cuddling koalas in the Taronga Park Zoo.

8. Singapore

Singapore is the ultimate wonderland for a travel addict like me. It has both sprawling and picturesque skyscrapers as well as ancient rainforests, parks and zoos.

9. Dubai

Dubai is the ideal destination for joyous shopping, scrumptious culinary treats, ultramodern architecture and a thriving nightlife. You can go for a desert safari, ride a camel, view the entire city from atop the Burj Khalifa, or sky dive over Palm Jumeirah.

10. Maldives

Maldives is ideal for beach lovers. Comprising more than 1,000 islands, Maldives is full of beaches, blue lagoons and extensive reefs. The diving and snorkelling experience at Maldives is simply astonishing.
