You reach Paradise Beach via a ferry ride from Chunnambar Boat House. Adorned with golden sands, it is a very clean and well-maintained beach. You can indulge in adventure sports like zorbing, kayaking, parasailing, etc at the beach.

The Botanical Garden has tall trees, colourful flowers, and beautiful statues. The entry fee is around Rs 40 per person. It was established by C.S. Perrotet in the year 1862. I went there early in the morning for a refreshing start to my day.

4. Basilica of the Sacred Heart of Jesus

Within walking distance of the Botanical Garden, we arrive at the Basilica of the Sacred Heart of Jesus. People of all faiths are welcome at this beautiful and peaceful basilica. The lives of Jesus along with the saints of the Catholic Church have been depicted in the stained glass panels of the building.

5. Seaside Promenade

Pondicherry’s most popular and happening tourist attraction is its Promenade. You will find many heritage structures here like the Promenade Hotel, Gandhi Statue, Nehru Statue, French War Memorial, etc.

6. Rock Beach

Rock Beach has a vast sea on one side and beautiful French structures on the other side. The famous eatery Le Cafe, serving authentic traditional food and beverages, can be found here. One can also spot a lot of hawkers near the beach, who sell local handicrafts and street food.

7. Bharthi Park

Located in White Town, Bharathi Park is a lush green park flanked by some of the most prominent government buildings in Pondicherry like the Governor’s Palace, Legislative Assembly, Government Hospital, etc. The park flaunts some very gorgeous water fountains, flower beds blooming with bright colored flowers and are dotted with quaint little granite bench for the visitors to relax on.

8. Auroville

9. Arulmigu Manakula Vinayagar Temple

Arulmigu Manakula Vinayagar Temple is an ancient temple dedicated to Lord Ganesha and is said to have been established almost 5 centuries ago. The timings of the temple are Morning: 5:45 AM to 12:30 PM and Evening: 4:00 PM to 9:30 PM.
